We had a 2 night stopover at Lauwersoog, which we eventually found despite Majorie (the sat nav) taking us to the wrong side of the lake! The campsite is situated in the Lauwersmeer National Park. The scenery, nature and clean air is astonishing and beautiful! A great place to spend a couple of days soaking in nature and taking long walks (or as a lot of visitors do - cycle the kilometres of cycle paths.
We enjoyed a restful couple of days here and would certainly recommend the campsite - great facilities, play area, restaurant, well stocked (if slightly pricey) shop and friendly staff!
