Mulhouse is on the border with Germany and Switzerland. So on a beautiful dry and sunny day we decided to hop on our first French train and go to Basel in Switzerland. Also known as Bale in French.

Basel is known as one of the most expensive cities in Europe - it definitely deserves this reputation! However, it is a beautiful city with a mix of historic and modern architecture. We had a wonderful wander around the city.
