We decided to visit the Lego museum, which involved catching the bus. Usually, this is straightforward and my only real concern is whether I can get the buggy on board. Normally, buses are big and their number/route easily identified. All the buses going to different places were normal buses. Then our bus arrival estimate disappeared off the digital display. Then what looked like a minibus with a taxi sign rolled up. Thankfully, there was a local lad waiting for the same bus and helped confirm this is the one we needed. Relief! As didn't really want to wait another 30 odd minutes!
After our interesting experience catching the bus from Leek, we finally arrived in Grootegast where there is are 3 museums in one building: the Lego Museum, Victory Museum and Printing Museum.
The building which is now the Lego Museum was once where Lego was made in Grootegast. Unfortunately, all the information panels were in Dutch, so really had to go by the pictures to work out the exact history.
There were many tremendous displays of cities and sites in the Groningen Province of the Netherlands.
